Vision
Oratorio for four voices, this film tells the story of simple people affected by the destructive rays of History. Marguerite and her sisters Ida, Dora and Paulette were children in hiding during the war. Their mother Chana deported to Auschwitz did not return. With their daily and intimate words they try to say the permanent emptiness, left by the disappearance of their mother.
Activity
Creativity is the central word which brings Myriam Tangi to experiment various techniques and approaches. Drawing and painting being the first and the basis of her way to look at the world, influenced her when she started photography early in her career. From this point of view, there is no difference between the rectangle of the canvas and the viewfinder of the camera for the composition and the use of series. The general title of her work in painting is “From body to sign”, where she explores the limits between figuration and abstraction through series comprising several hundred pieces. Both in painting and photography, but also in poetry, she explores various facets of her identity, as a Jew, as a woman, as an artist.
