Vision
Susan’s House creates a stable, safe, and inspiring environment for youth at risk through real creative work. By operating professional art workshops that produce and sell high-quality products, the program enables teenagers to experience responsibility, contribution, and dignity from day one, supporting emotional resilience, independence, and social integration.
Activity
The project supported by the Matanel Foundation strengthens Susan’s House’s creative rehabilitation program for youth at risk. Teenagers participate in daily work within professional art studios, producing high-quality ceramics, jewelry, and glass items that are sold to the public.
Unlike traditional therapeutic frameworks, the program functions as a real workplace: participants are paid, meet deadlines, collaborate in teams, and take responsibility for the full production process. Alongside creative work, youth receive personal guidance, emotional support, and life-skills training that help them cope with trauma, build resilience, and prepare for adult life.
The Matanel Foundation’s contribution enables the continuation and expansion of this unique model, providing stability during a challenging period and allowing more young people to experience meaningful participation, personal growth, and a renewed sense of belonging within their community.
