Students from Ecological Greenhouse Ein Shemer , supported by the Matanel Foundation, have developed a project of inventing a protein production agro-system, aiming to offer a solution to fight hunger in rural areas in Kenya. Their project won 1st prize in the Isreali competition for sustainable development solutions. Following this achievement, the students were invited to take part in the Israeli delegation to the FAO office in Rome. Culture - Le journal de la semaine avec Valérie Abécassis The Rashi House in Troyes, which houses the Edmond-J synagogue. Safra, as well as a high-level educational course, was initiated by the Pitoun family and is effectively managed by Mr. Philippe Boukobza. The Matanel Foundation helped to restore this old bourgeois house in Troyes, respecting the materials and architecture of origin. It offers a beautiful synagogue hall, as well as several museum pieces where one can discover who was Rashi, the scope of his writings still at the heart of Jewish life, and a very innovative digital table for playing with a digitized Torah.

Matanel young promising rabbis prize - article about Rav Yoel Yifrah
The price was remitted by the Matanel Foundation during the 31st General convention of the CER (Conference of European Rabbis) in Antwerp. Through Hulya, which works as a joint-venture with the CER, the Matanel Foundation encourages young rabbis across the European countries. Hulya grants two annual awards: The Matanel Maharal prize, to young Rabbis who lead communities and bring them to a great level of study and practice and propose innovative programs to attract unaffiliated Jews to religious services as well as to communal activities.
