Vision
To bring together women from Jerusalem’s diverse communities, into a program of skills acquisition and training in media and leadership. Supporting a new generation of empowered and interconnected female leaders of positive change, with a shared identity of womanhood that fosters a collective approach to overcoming obstacles of personal and intercommunal development.
Activity
The Women of Jerusalem Project provides specialized training for
women from the city’s three central communities—Ultra-Orthodox, East, and West Jerusalem— in
leadership and media skills. By developing practical skills in digital media, journalism, and leadership, the program
equips participants with the tools to enter into the world of media and generate effective advocacy for positive
change within and between their communities. In addition to skills acquisition, the project facilitates meaningful
intergroup dialogue and collaborations to cultivate a shared identity of womanhood in Jerusalem over social divides.
By combining practicable training with intergroup collaborations, The Women of Jerusalem Program builds a network
of informed and capable female leaders of change, advancing progress for a more inclusive and cohesive future in
Jerusalem. The skills acquired and networking opportunities gained through this project also provide participants with a spring board for gaining economic opportunities that can support personal, household and community development.
