Vision

Our mission is to help seniors with chronic diseases by creating platforms of responses to relieve their loneliness, and convey knowledge. We apply our vision through scholarships given to medical students, helping them to get to know the world of chronic diseases and their consequences (loneliness, pain, isolation for elderly patients and their families), thus improving their professional ability and preparing a new generation of better doctors.

Activity

After years of fieldwork, our organization have gained extensive experience in assisting hundreds of students who provide care to thousands of chronically ill and elderly individuals through our projects in the community amongst are HIBUK tailored versions. Our association specializes in understanding and addressing the needs of the elderly and chronically ill, their families and care givers, based on continually evaluation and research. The need for support has significantly increased during emergency periods. Whatever the harsh reality is, we always promote comprehensive home care in order to significantly improve patients’ health, resilience.

The Iron Sword War has significantly increased the number of elderly individuals, Holocaust survivors, and chronically ill patients experiencing severe loneliness, uncertainty, anxiety, dealing with loss and trauma. The institutional systems are busy providing solutions to the acute crises of displaced communities, of families of the abductees while dealing with internal social-financial turmoil. This project connects 50 healthcare students in the first year, 80 in the second and 100 in the third, with seniors with chronic diseases. These students are tasked with mapping various needs—medications, food, mobility, pain relief—while providing empathic listening and support. Each student undergoes thorough training, professional guidance and support, which will ensure their readiness later in their careers.
