Maison Rachi – Enrichment of 7 Parachiot on digital tables

Vision

The exhibition at the Rashi Cultural Center in Troyes features three digital tables allowing visitors to view and manipulate Rashi’s commentaries on the Torah in French, English, and Hebrew.

Activity

The digital tables at the Maison Rashi are very popular with the public.
Currently, only the parashah Balak is accessible.
The Rashi Cultural Center now wishes to present seven new parashahs to its visitors: Bereishit, Noah, Lekh Lekha, Vayera, Chayei Sarah, Toldot, and Vayetze.
The methodology consists of, after inserting the translations in Hebrew, French, and English, identifying the verses and words commented on in the digitized “Sefer Torah” using a highlighting technique.
Then, the creation of a color code for Rashi’s commentaries allows the creation of a typology based on syntactic analysis or the provision of definitions of “Laazim,” words translated into medieval French.

Mickaël François Amar

Mickaël François Amar is a dedicated rabbi with extensive experience in community leadership, cultural initiatives, and spiritual guidance. Over the past four years, he has had the privilege of working with a community that values human connection, celebrating life events and fostering a strong sense of unity. He has also collaborated with the Maison Rachi to deepen his understanding of the cultural aspects of his mission, all while embodying a Judaism that is deeply rooted in the city. Mickaël has gained expertise in managing and successfully leading community projects, with a particular focus on structuring initiatives that promote Jewish culture and strengthen community ties.

Currently a student at the Séminaire Israélite de France in Paris, Mickaël is also pursuing legal studies with a law degree from Université Panthéon Assas – Paris II. His professional experience includes roles such as scientific coordinator at Maison Rachi and summer replacements at ACI Rachi de Troyes and ACI Bayonne Biarritz, where he worked on community projects, media relations, and event organization. He is deeply involved in initiatives that promote Judaism in various forms, with a special focus on creating dynamic, inclusive environments for spiritual and social growth.

Fluent in French, English, Hebrew, and Yiddish, Mickaël is also a passionate family man, married in 2019 and the father of two boys born in 2020 and 2022.
