The project ensures Jewish continuity by instilling foundational concepts, Hebrew language, and traditions from a young age, while enabling Jewish parents and educators to confidently pursue their professional and communal missions, knowing their children are in the best possible hands.
Activity
The Asociación Comunidad Israelita de Melilla manages a comprehensive network of educational, religious, and welfare institutions that form the heartbeat of local Jewish life. A foundational pillar of this network is the Guardería Comunitaria, providing a warm and secure early childhood framework infused with Torah values and Mitzvot. Led by professional Morot, toddlers learn Tefilah, Berajot, the Alef-Bet, and the weekly Parasha through song and dance, alongside core developmental skills. The daycare serves as a critical support system for young families and local educators, granting them complete peace of mind to fulfill their professional and communal missions. Beyond early education, the community operates comprehensive educational programs for all ages, daily Torah lectures, vibrant youth initiatives, and essential welfare services. Through the Matanel grant, the daycare directly subsidizes and sustains this vital service, alleviating financial burdens for parents and securing the future of Jewish continuity in Melilla from the very youngest age.
