Vision
To integrate the Haredi community into Israel’s medical and healthcare professions at the highest academic levels. By bridging the critical national shortage of medical professionals and providing holistic, government-backed support, the project aims to train a first generation of Haredi physicians, establishing a sustainable, supportive professional ecosystem within Israel’s healthcare landscape
Activity
The Kemach Foundation specializes in expanding access to professional education and employment for the Haredi community in Israel by breaking structural barriers through scalable, replicable integration models. In partnership with the Ministry of Health, its “Haredim for Medicine” initiative provides comprehensive end-to-end support—financial, academic, and social—to guide Haredi participants from intensive exam preparation through medical school graduation and career placement. The foundation operates rigorous pre-medical preparatory programs (Mechina), delivers personal and academic mentorship, and distributes vital stipends and scholarships. Through these targeted interventions, Kemach builds a robust professional network and a supportive ecosystem, successfully placing Haredi graduates into critical positions across Israel’s healthcare labor market
