Vision

Kolot envisions an Israeli society whose leaders and citizens are inspired by Jewish wisdom to build a just, compassionate, and cohesive country grounded in moral responsibility and shared purpose.
The project will empower a professional network of beit midrash facilitators to have a more refined and systematic approach for inspiring action and having greater social impact.

Activity

Kolot fosters leadership that drives positive change in Israeli society by engaging diverse leaders in deep Jewish learning and empowering them to express the core values of the evolving Jewish canon—social responsibility, sensitivity to others, justice and charity, and respectful discourse—in their public and professional lives. Our work convenes diverse cohorts of influential Israeli leaders across all sectors and backgrounds to engage in beit midrash study that cultivates values-based leadership to shape a more resilient, cohesive and democratic Israeli society.

The project will contribute to the development and propagation of the Kolot ‘Halakhah L’Maase’ facilitation method, by convening our seasoned facilitation team and other expert colleagues for deep research, discussion and peer learning, to refine and codify the Kolot method of beit midrash study for cultivating values-based leadership for social action. This method inspires purpose and meaning amongst participants, refines core values, builds bridges across ideological and social divides, and equips leaders with practical tools to implement their learnings into impactful action in Israeli society. The project aim is to develop a systematic guide for our unique method for the provision of useful learning and facilitation resources for the wider community of study and dialogue facilitators.
