Vision
The Mechinot enterprise trains thousands of young Israelis annually for meaningful military service and a lifetime of civic responsibility. Through our partnership with Matanel Foundation, we are expanding the reach of the Mechinot’s impact enabling students from all backgrounds to participate fully, strengthening intergenerational bonds through volunteering with seniors, and nurturing shared leadership among Mechina directors. Together, we are building the next generation of Israeli society
Activity
The project is an initiative aimed at highlighting the joint activities of mechinot students and the Metanail Foundation in the areas of social engagement and community connection. The various projects supported by the foundation also reflect the volunteer activities of pre-military mechinot students — activities designed to strengthen social and intergenerational bonds. In addition, the project includes a year-round Beit Midrash for mechina leaders, which fosters shared learning and educational dialogue that encourages and nurtures the unique partnership within the mechinot world. This initiative seeks to showcase to the public the breadth of activities supported by the foundation and the impact of the partnership between the mechinot and the Metanail Foundation.
