Vision

To create an inclusive musical space where children with special needs and their peers from mainstream schools come together in harmony. Through music, we aim to foster empathy, break social barriers, and empower children to embrace diversity. The Voice of Angels project envisions a more compassionate, united society—one voice, one choir, many backgrounds.

Activity

The Voice of Angels project brings together 30 children aged 7–15, half from special education schools and half from mainstream schools, to participate in an inclusive choir and musical ensemble. Through weekly rehearsals, instrument demonstrations, joint workshops, and a culminating performance, the program fosters meaningful interaction between children of different abilities and backgrounds. Led by experienced educators and musicians from The Jerusalem Orchestra East & West, the project uses music as a universal language to promote empathy, self-expression, and social connection.

Participants will receive tailored musical instruction that accommodates diverse learning needs, with support from staff including a project manager, musical director, cultural coordinator, and accompanying musicians. Activities will take place in accessible locations and include transportation and refreshments to ensure full participation.

The program also incorporates digital tools, such as the Musico platform, to enhance music learning and accessibility. A final public performance will showcase the group’s collaborative achievements, promoting inclusion within the broader community and celebrating the unique contribution of each participant.

By cultivating shared experiences in a creative, respectful setting, Voice of Angels helps children build friendships across differences and nurtures a more inclusive, compassionate society through the power of music.
