Vision
The Theo-tron, a Jerusalem-based ensemble of religious and secular theater artists, bridges divides in Israeli society by fostering pluralistic dialogue and exposing audiences to Jewish spiritual heritage. Through innovative performances, we aim to create a new Jewish language that resonates with the current generation, promoting understanding and unity across diverse cultural and religious communities.
Activity
“Are You Talking to Me?” is a magical production that deals with deep questions, with choosing and listening to the “calling voice”.
The focus on these questions arose from the complex reality we have found ourselves in over the past year and a half, in which many have been called to a mission, a role, and sometimes paid a heavy price. During the study, we explored various revelation stories: Abraham ,Moses and the prophet Jonah. And we asked ourselves what place these mythical stories occupy in our world paved for survival and career.We sought to examine the clash between the essence of religious-faith experience and the distinct, solid existence of our lives in the here and now.
