Vision
The Sunday Jewish School aims to revitalize the Talmud Torah by offering a dynamic, inclusive, and tradition-rooted education. It fosters Jewish identity, cultural engagement, and community
integration through active learning, modern tools, and meaningful rituals.
Our vision aligns with the values of the Matanel Foundation: to transmit Jewish heritage with creativity and openness, fostering future generations proud of their identity.
Activity
The Sunday Jewish School is a transformative program revitalizing the Talmud Torah for today’s generation. Beyond traditional Hebrew reading and prayer practice, it integrates cultural and historical education through interactive activities, digital tools, and immersive experiences. Children explore Jewish identity through music, art, storytelling, and active rituals such as Shabbat kiddush and Passover seders.
The program fosters leadership by encouraging students to lead prayers and organize events, boosting confidence and community connection. Special tracks support beginners and older children
with accelerated learning, while online lessons and digital tablets offer personalized review and reinforcement.
Our approach includes inter-community Shabbatonim, educational field trips (Jewish museums, memorials), and festive celebrations (Hanukkah, Purim) that deepen identity and build bonds. A collaborative network of educators, directors, and cultural animators ensures shared best practices, continuous training, and inclusive pedagogy.
Safety is a priority: trained personnel and crisis management protocols protect students during classes and outings. Our goal is to make Jewish learning vibrant, relevant, and rooted in shared heritage.
