The Matanel-BINA Center in Tel Aviv will be a vibrant home for Israeli Judaism, serving as a hub for learning, culture, and community, connecting diverse audiences in Israel and around the world through shared study, dialogue, and public engagement.

Activity

The new Matanel-BINA Center in Tel Aviv will serve as the physical center of Israeli Judaism and as a hub for BINA’s educational, cultural, and community activities in Israel and around the world. The building will include offices, classrooms, lecture halls and conference spaces, as well as a library dedicated to the Israeli-Jewish literary canon. It will function as the central headquarters of the organization, the home of the BINA pre-military program in Tel Aviv, and a learning center for groups from the state education system, the IDF, international delegations, and other diverse audiences. In addition, the site will host public events and programs open to the wider community.

Rakefet Sholder

Rakefet Sholder is a partnerships and fundraising executive with extensive experience across the nonprofit, academic, and social impact sectors. Throughout her career, she has led resource development, donor relations, and strategic partnership initiatives, working with foundations, corporations, public institutions, and philanthropic stakeholders in Israel and internationally.

Prior to her current role at BINA – The Home of Israeli Judaism, Rakefet served in the Resource Development Division of Bar-Ilan University and held development and partnership positions at Aluma and The Living Together Center .

Rakefet specializes in strategic planning, fundraising, stakeholder engagement, and cross-sector collaboration. She has a proven track record of building and nurturing impactful partnerships that support organizational growth, advance mission-driven initiatives, and create lasting social impact.
