Vision
K., les Juifs, l’Europe, le XXIe siècle is the only online media outlet dedicated to the Jewish experience on a European scale (published in French, English, recently in Spanish and Italian, and soon in German and Portuguese). Founded in 2021, it documents and analyzes the situation of Jews in Europe, links past and present, highlights the existence and distinctiveness of a European Judaism, and opens a space for dialogue and reflection within the Jewish world as a whole, and between Jews and non-Jews.
Activity
Since March 2021, K. has published three original texts each week – reportages, interviews, analyses – exploring current events, historical memory, and the cultural issues of European Jewry. Since October 7, a significant part of its work has been devoted to assessing and analyzing the impact of this event on world Jewry. Since its first issue, dozens of authors and researchers, from around twenty nationalities, whether young or already highly recognized, have contributed to the review. Based in France, K. aims to make its content available in an increasing number of languages. With the constant goal of combining journalism and intellectual reflection, of conveying the diversity of Jewish realities in Europe and of strengthening a European consciousness, it also produces podcasts, has published several books, and has organized numerous events and public meetings in France. In the future, K. plans to extend these public events to other European countries and to create a research institute aimed at strengthening academic work on European Jewry.
