Vision
It is an ambitious project aimed at creating a multi-functional center in Jerusalem to serve the French-speaking community. This center aims to develop universal Jewish culture for all, strengthen the integration of new immigrants, offer creative activities for young people, provide answers to the cultural and social needs of young couples, parents of students, working people and retirees and support solidarity actions for the population.
Activity
The goal of the center is to establish a living cultural space for the French-speaking community of Jerusalem, in fidelity to the spirit of openness and tolerance of the great masters of the French-speaking Jewish school of thought (Néher, Lévinas, Levy-Valensi, Chouraqui, Wiesel), who developed a vision of Judaism that is deeply loyal to the values of Jewish civilization but also open to universal culture and tolerant of all sensitivities of the rainbow of Jewish life. On the other hand, the center aims to highlight to the French-speaking public the doctrines and ideas of contemporary masters of Judaism and more particularly the works of Rav Kook. It is also a place of Jewish spiritual life, bringing together the 3 dimensions of the synagogue : community gathering, space for reflection and study, prayer preserving the noblest traditions of the diasporas of the past and the original Israeli initiatives of the present time. This structure will be open to the inhabitants of the city of all origins and all levels of observance. Our association create meeting spaces for young people in the spirit of openness to the world according to the teachings of Rabbi Léon Ashkenasi, cultural promotion and social meeting space for retirees to break isolation and promote sociability, participate in solidarity response actions for the public of reservists and families.
