ידידים יקרים, שותפים יקרים,
כולנו משתוקקים לשיר חדש לקראת השנה החדשה. לחזור לתקופה בה יכולנו לחלוק אחד על השני, להתווכח אחד עם השני, לשוחח ביננו. בלי חשדות בלי גידופים בלי חרמות. עוד נתפנה ללבן את מה שפקד אותנו, מה המאחד ומה המפלג. הרי לא מספיק לקרוא לאחדות בעוד כל אחד מתחפר באמת שלו בלי לגלות רגישות ופתיחות לאמת של עמיתו, שכנו, חברו.
תחושתנו בלאו הכי היא שאהבת ישראל נכנסת לשלב חדש, עם פעילים חברתיים שיחברו את אותו שיר חדש בזכויותיהם ובמעשיהם.
אנחנו תפילה שהקולות הצורמים יתחלפו בקולות רווחה ושנעבור לשנה מתוקה שתסלול את גורלנו לשנים יפות של יצירה, שגשוג ופריחה.

Dear Friends, Dear Partners,
We all long for a new song as we approach the New Year – to return to a time when we could share with one another, debate with one another, converse with one another – without suspicion, without insults, without ostracism. We will yet take the time to sort out what has befallen us – what unites us and what divides us. For it is not enough to call for unity while everyone clings to his own truth without showing sensitivity and openness to the truth of his colleague, neighbor, or friend.
Our sense is that love for Israel is entering a new phase, with inspiring social activists composing that new song through their merits and their actions.
May we enter a sweet new year that will pave the way for beautiful years of creativity, prosperity, and flourishing. We pray with you that the discordant voices will give way to harmonious voices of well-being.

Nous aspirons tous à un prélude plus heureux pour cette nouvelle année. Revenir à une époque où nous pouvions échanger, débattre, dialoguer. Sans soupçons mutuels, sans injures, sans anathème. Il ne suffit pas d’invoquer l’unité pour la rétablir, on doit encore se débarrasser de ses ornières et montrer de la sensibilité et de l’ouverture aux convictions de son prochain. Nous aurons toujours le temps d’analyser ce qui nous est arrivé, distinguant entre ce qui nous unit et ce qui nous divise.
Nous avons le sentiment que l’amour d’Israël entre dans une nouvelle phase, avec des activistes sociaux qui composeront de leurs mérites et de leurs actions ce nouveau chant que nous appelons tous de nos vœux. Leur inspiration et leur dévouement sauront convertir les voix discordantes en des voix plus conciliantes et harmonieuses.
Puissions-nous entrer dans une année douce qui nous acheminerait vers de belles années de création, de prospérité et d’épanouissement.
