Machane Schachbag empowers Jewish teens across Europe by cultivating strong identity, Hebrew fluency, and leadership through immersive, values-based education. By bringing together Israeli and European-born youth in a vibrant, Hebrew-speaking environment, we foster belonging, resilience, and shared purpose. The camp is a springboard for future Jewish leaders—rooted in tradition, united in peoplehood, and inspired to shape thriving, connected communities across the continent.
Activity
Tzofim Europe (ISWE) is dedicated to strengthening Jewish identity, community engagement, and youth leadership across the Europe. With 14 active chapters, we reach over 1,000 Jewish and Israeli youth weekly through Hebrew-speaking, values-based informal education.
Our year-round programming includes weekly activities, local leadership training, and cultural celebrations designed to empower youth with a deep sense of belonging, responsibility, and pride in their Jewish and Israeli identity. We place a strong focus on inclusivity and integration, especially as many new families settle in Europe.
The flagship of our efforts is Machane Schachbag, a five-day immersive leadership and identity-building camp held annually. The camp brings together over 300 teens—Israeli youth living in Europe and European-born teens—who learn, lead, and grow together in a unique Hebrew-speaking environment. The camp promotes cross-border community, strengthens Jewish peoplehood, and nurtures the next generation of active, confident leaders. Through peer-led learning, shared traditions, and deep bonds, Tzofim Europe equips youth with the tools they need to shape vibrant, resilient Jewish communities across Europe.
