Activity
Night Birds – Piyut and Reflection”: A regular two-hour radio show on IDF Radio (Galey Tzahal), edited and hosted by Yair Harel. The program features music from the world of piyut and related genres (including global musical traditions and Israeli prayer songs) alongside contemporary philosophical discussions that connect traditional knowledge and wisdom with modern society and culture.
The program will host thinkers, cultural figures, and spiritual leaders from various sectors of Israeli society. The target audience is broad and diverse within Israeli society, including music, poetry, traditional Eastern culture enthusiasts, and those interested in Jewish-Israeli thought.
This is the only program in all the main stream Israeli media that is dedicated to the rich heritage of the Piyut world and its relevance to the contemporary Israeli culture!
