Kedma School

We want to share with you a few of the exciting happenings that took place in our schools – Kedma and Neve Hof recently.

Oriya Weil, an 11th grade Kedma student, participated in Yad Vashem’s Fifth World Holocaust Forum that was held on January 23rd, commemorating the 75th anniversary of Auschwitz-Birkenau liberation. This year, youth representatives and soldiers jointly delivered flowers to world leaders participating in the Ceremony. Both of Oriya’s grandparents are Holocaust survivors from the Netherlands, and her father is a guide that accompanies delegations to Poland. Oriya handed a bouquet to the world leaders who participated in the Ceremony.

Oshri Krieff, a former Kedma graduate and currently a Kedma teacher and seventh-grade students, met with the Mayor of Jerusalem, Mr. Moshe Leon, in his office on 4.2.2020. The meeting took place following the remarkable initiative – “a warm winter,” in which the students and Oshri distributed winter blankets to the homeless in Jerusalem.

A particularly creative evening took place at Neve Hof School on 3.2.2020. Second graders, along with their parents, siblings, and grandparents, built Noah arks together as part of an integrated Art and Bible class activity. It was great fun, and they all enjoyed it very much.
