Through harnessing the energy of law abiding young people who care about their country, The New Israeli Guardians pioneers change. The organization inspires dedication to classic Zionist ideals and empowers a vital volunteer movement of socially responsible Israeli citizens.
Activity
The New Israeli Guardian’s Young Leadership Program promotes the Zionist ideals on which the State of Israel was founded. It trains a new cadre of young leaders who care about the land of Israel and are committed to Jewish-Zionist values, connection to the land, social activism and mutual responsibility to Israel and the Jewish people.
This intensive, 14-month pre-army, work-study volunteer program provides a challenging learning experience for Israel’s young people. It instills values that they will carry with them through every stage of their lives. The program includes intensive field training, theoretical studies, Jewish textual study, values education, ranching, agricultural work and actual manning of observation posts and patrols to protect the land of farmers and ranchers in the Galilee and Negev from those who try to illegally seize it.
The New Israeli Guardians was awarded the prestigious Menachem Begin Prize in 2011 for its outstanding contribution to the state of Israel and the Jewish people.
