Vision
The “Chevrati” High School has developed a unique educational model, integrating an informal educational code into the formal school environment. Dialogical education has high rates of success among youth as it focuses on the student as a whole person, a near-adult in the process of discovering the world through an ongoing dialogue with teachers, friends, family and the neighborhood with which he or she is in contact.
Activity
The “Chevrati” High School has developed a unique educational model, integrating an informal educational code into the formal school environment. Dialogical education utilizes a number of different methods: conversation, reading, experiences, work, arts & crafts, games and more, in order to allow each student to express himself, understand the world around him and develop his own talents, skills and personality.
In conjunction with dialogical education, the staff of the “Chevrati” High School believes in Technological Education, that develops imagination, creativity, responsibility and curiosity. An education which aims to bestow substantial life tools for a respectable livelihood as an adult is the most appropriate course for youth in 2014, and beyond.
With this understanding, students at the Chevrati High School are educated in two technological courses (with an aim to open a third course in the future).
One course is Robotics and Digital Design. The students learn and experience the, progressive world of robotics. This includes material theory, sketch and design of complex structures by hand and by computer, and the building of complicated models of engineering.
The second course is Photography and Media. They learn to express their world through the artistic style of photography. The photography course is a platform for our students to criticize the different social phenomenons that encircle their lives.
