Vision

The great vision, which most of the time we don’t speak about because of its greatness. The vision is beginning creating a movement of Jewish renaissance. A renaissance that makes new paradigms in the Jewish view point. The main idea is creating of ideas and plans of bringing new spirit in the life of Jewish nation and the state of Israel

Activity

The Tekoa Hesder Yeshiva, was established in 1999 by Rabbi Adin Even Israel Steinsaltz, in Tekoa, south of Jerusalem. Yeshivat Tekoa, boasts a family atmosphere, and an open and warm rapport between the students and the Rabbis, and among the students themselves. Each student is encouraged to develop his own path, according to his individual talents and abilities, and is assisted by unique tools offered him at the Yeshiva. Classes at the Tekoa Yeshiva are held in small groups, or chavrutot (pairs, as common in Talmudic studies), with an emphasis on independent learning. Understanding of the importance of the security of the State of Israel, army service is an integral part of life at the Tekoa Yeshiva. All students enlist in the Israel Defense Force as combat soldiers and officers, and during their military service maintain regular contact with the educational staff and their friends at the Yeshiva. Understanding of the importance of the connection to Jews around the world Yeshivat Tekoa initiated the Ambassadors Program where students of Yeshivat Tekoa go to North America in order to integrate and contribute to communities there, with the vision of facilitate and model how to love being Jewish in a deep, natural, joyous and un-apologetic way.
