Vision

National fortitude is the spirit that animates matter, and the power that gives a nation the power to stand for itself, including in times of conflict, and in difficult situations where the general population is at risk. Military strength and technological superiority cannot serve as a substitute for social unity and emotional resiliency, both on the personal and national level, and these in turn cannot exist without a shared national vision.

Activity

The Tavor Academy for Social Leadership was established in August 2010 in order to assist the city of Nazareth Illit, situated in the central Galilee, in dealing with the social challenges it has being facing in recent years. The choice of Nazareth Illit is due to the recognition that what takes place in this city will affect the character of the entire Galilee. In addition to social activities, the Academy aims towards the central goal of cultivating high-quality Zionist leadership. In order to realize this goal, the Academy offers a rich study program that works on three main levels: building Jewish-Zionist awareness as a driving force for leadership and social involvement, acquiring leadership skills and abilities, and deepening awareness of the wide variety of social challenges in Israel.
And of course, preparations for IDF service have not been forgotten, including fitness training and combat training.
Our graduates are expected to serve in leadership positions in the Israel Defense Forces, and by leadership, we specifically mean enrolling in officers’ courses. Of course, we also expect that, each of the graduates will choose, in their own unique way, to play a significant part in developing Israel’s national and social fortitude.
