Activity

Re’ut High School is a co-educational pluralistic community school in Jerusalem and part of the National Curriculum, with a student body of almost 300 children. The school was established in 1999 by educator Dr. Aryeh Geiger, with the vision of teaching seventh through twelfth graders in an academic environment grounded in Jewish learning, tolerance, social activism and respect for others. The SAE took over the management of Re’ut school in 2013 at the request of the Jerusalem Mayor in order to help the school out of its dire financial and educational situation and has turned it around in a very short time.

Many of the students at Reut High School come from very low-income families who cannot afford to pay the full tuition or the additional costs not covered by the ministry of Education. Matanel Financial Assistance Scholarships will enable students from very low-income families to benefit from the wide range of enrichment classes, activities (such as school trips) and services that are an integral part of the schooling experience.
