Vision
The state of Israel and global Judaism are once again facing a crossroad: On the one hand, there is regrowth, rehabilitation, and revival, while on the other there is deterioration, embarrassment, and social and spiritual collapse. We therefore must start a thinking process that will attempt to present new and invigorating points of view, an infrastructure for a deep soul-search and inquiry.
Activity
We wish to enroll the younger generation, outstanding students from Reichman University, Israel’s future leaders, in a seminar dealing with the vision of Israel’s state and society in its centennial year – 2048.
The Crossroad seminar will consist of 15 graduate students from every department, or outstanding undergraduates in their last year of studies. They will meet over an academic school year for 10 sessions, dealing with the core issues Israel is concerned with toward its centennial: education, welfare, culture, religion, health, finance, communication & media, law, foreign affairs and government.
