Vision
The last ones is most of all a social media project, the aim
of the work is to spread the words of the last holocaust survivors
to teach the younger générations, fight racism and antisemitism,
using the tools they are used to.
Activity
Our association main activity is to do everything that is
possible to spread the words of the last holocaust survivors,
through conférences, social médias, podcasts, all the tools that
are available today to touch the audience directly. Web series,
documentary films, conferences, books, podcasts, website, and
soon-to-be video platform, “Les Derniers / The Last Ones” is a
multidimensional project on the last Holocaust survivors.
Launched in 2017, the idea behind this project was to create a link
between the last Holocaust survivors and the younger
generations. We therefore decided to first produce a series of
short documentaries. In each episode, Sophie Nahum visits one of
the last survivors in their home, and over coffee or cheesecake,
they tell her about their life – their childhood, the war, but also
life after the war and in the present.
