Vision
The 19th edition of the Brussels Jewish International Film Festival will take place in 2 theaters in Brussels , during October 3 th – 7th, 2018.
This special edition of Israeli cinema shows the diversity of Israeli life, the human, social and artistic aspects, as contemporary dance, Israelis in Berlin, deaf community, etc… Those movies are co-productions with Germany, France, Belgium.
Activity
Festival goals and axes of action
To expose the public to a new Jewish and Israeli cinema for the comprehension of the present and the construction of the future, with the help of cinematic pedagogical values.
Propose activities for the general public and the younger generations, such as movie screenings and literary conference about Israeli Cinema.
Provide the tools to apprehend, analyse, understand and not simply commemorate – by discussions, Questions-answers sessions after the movies etc.
Foster, mainly among younger generations, critical thinking, the development of responsible citizenship and the promotion of democratic values.
Facilitate access to cultural content in order to encourage the discovery and knowledge about Judaism and Israel
