We believe that all human beings are equal yet unique, and all have the privilege and obligation to contribute to society. We aspire to professionalism and excellence. Nalaga’at continues to change not only the lives of the deaf; blind and deaf-blind Jews, Muslims and Christians working at the Center, but also the lives of our visitors. We believe that we must, can and deserve to change the reality in which we live.
Nalagaat Center is home to the world’s only deaf-blind theater company, performing the show “Not by Bread Alone” in Israel and worldwide, receiving rave reviews.
The Center includes: “Kapish” coffee shop where deaf waiters invite guests to communicate beyond the spoken word, “Blackout” restaurant where blind waiters escort the diners into a special experience in complete darkness, the children’s show “Prince Rooster” performed by deaf and blind waiters, a new group of deaf-blind theater students and workshops for youth, adults and professionals.
Over 80 deaf, blind and deaf-blind people work at the Center creating a transformative experience for our 200,000 visitors so far.
